Course Content The course will cover the following:
What is project management, what is a project, how is success measured?
• Evaluation: What, where, when, how and who? Writing the Project Brief. Establishing the basis for change control and getting agreement / buy-in from all stakeholders. Establishing high-level estimates.
• Planning: Building the Project Charter; Objectives; Scope; Estimation; Milestones; Schedule; Project Organisation; Documentation; Risk Management; Change Control; Approval; Refine estimates; Allocate work; Using project management tools; Risk assessment and contingency planning; Managing change.
• Implementation: Using your Project Charter to dictate the pace and nature of the project implementation. Managing people, processes and priorities; Staying on track; Converting your Communications Plan into an implementation blueprint; Using project management software.
• Completion: Lessons Learned; End project review; Post-project benefits analysis.

Learning Outcomes This two-day FETAC Level 6 (one module) accredited course is beneficial to project managers, aspiring project managers and anyone who needs to develop a project plan quickly and efficiently.
Methods of Assessment This course allows participants to bring their own project and work to develop their own Project Charter following the EPICWay© roadmap. Self-study is required, during which you must write and complete your own Project Charter as part of the accreditation requirements.

Managing Successful Projects MSP

Course Content Programme Management is the discipline of managing a series of related projects, known collectively as a programme.

The successful management of a programme requires a specific set of leadership and management skills that go beyond the discipline of project management.

The internationally recognized Managing Successful Programmes (MSP®) course focuses on the key skills and knowledge required by programme managers to effectively deliver a successful programme.

Particular attention is paid to the challenges that are often encountered by programme managers.

MSP® is used as the best practice methodology for managing programmes by the Office of Government Commerce (UK) and the United Nations.

Trigraph in partnership with APM group-accredited Novare bring you this excellent course to allow successful participants become fully accredited with this international qualification.

Three days for Foundation level only. Five days to reach full Practitioner level. It is possilbe to attend the final 2 days if you have previously completed a foundation course and want to convert to practitioner level.
Course Work Overview

The course comprises pre-course work followed by a mixture of learning sessions, group exercises and programme scenario based practical work.
During the course, delegates will undertake a number of exercises and mock examinations from these they will gain feedback on their progress towards eventual success. Delegates should expect to undertake 1 – 2 hours of revision work on the 1st night of the course
Prior to the Course

Delegates will be sent the following:
“Managing Successful Programmes” using MSP®

Delegates should read the manual covering the Overview of MSP®, Principles of Programme Management and the Programme Management Lifecycle and familiarize themselves with the content and structure of the method.

“Managing Successful Programmes” Pocketbook

Delegates should use the pocketbook as a pre-course revision aid to become familiar with the key products and processes of MSP®
