Course Content Programme Overview
The programme is designed to develop learners’ understanding of supervisory / team leader roles so as to better perform their supervisory function and goals.

Participants will develop a range of supervisory and management skills that will enable them to deal with a variety of people and systems issues and execute their leadership role in an effective and successful manner.

Who is this Course For?
Those who already hold a team leader or supervisory positions plus individuals who have the potential for promotion to supervisory type roles in the future.

Learning Outcomes Learners who successfully complete this module will:
• Gain awareness of the role and practice of supervisor / team leader
• Develop knowledge of the key principle and application of communications
• Develop skills in performing the role and applying key elements of employment legislation
• Develop techniques for undertaking operational work planning and control
• Be able to build appropriate plans and schedules for work activities with timescales and measurement criteria
• Develop effective team working and leadership skills for managing people
• Be able to address poor performance issues and achieve satisfactory performance outcomes
• Develop good personal and time management techniques and effective management of meetings
• Be capable of practicing delegation skills in the management of workloads
