| Methods of Assessment |
Programme Evaluation
Progress on learning objectives will be monitored each week by the tutors and feedback given. Peer support will be encouraged between sessions. A mid term and end of course evaluation survey is completed.
Work Placement
Towards the end of the programme as participants have built a certain level of skill, they will be asked to complete a Work Placement of a minimum of 4 days duration with a client company.
In-Tuition take responsibility for sourcing clients who have a website/online business that can be improved. In some cases, participants find a suitable client themselves.
The placement will involve the participant completing an analysis of the clients website/online business and making recommendations for approval in the form of a report.
These reports will be reviewed by In-Tuition before being issued to ensure that an adequate standard is achieved. The work placements have the effect of consolidating learning for participants and also increases their employment prospects as many work placement sponsors ask the participants to apply their new expertise to support them with their online business.
The assessment involves the submission of a Portfolio of Coursework which includes the following items (marking scheme shown in brackets)
Search Engine Assignment (25%)
Research Project (45%)
Internet Marketing Plan (30%)
Grading
Pass 50 - 64%
Merit 65 - 79%
Distinction 80 - 100%
National Framework of Qualifications
This programme qualifies as 1 credit towards a FETAC (Level 5) Certificate and is a recognised module within the National Framework of Qualifications.
All participants, DOB and PPS numbers must be supplied on Day 1 of the course. |

| Eligibility |
Job-seekers Support Programme (JSSP) Skillnets Ltd.
Trainers should note unemployed trainees must fall into one of the following five categories:
- Persons under the age of 35 or
- Persons unemployed for more than 12 months or
- Persons with NFQ Level 5 or less or
- Persons formerly employed in the construction, manufacturing or retail sectors or
- Persons wishing to enter the ICT sector having been formerly employed in a different sector, and who require conversion programmes
An unemployed person must fall into at least one of these categories to be eligible for the Job-seekers Support Programme 2012.
Please Note: Applicants for course places with jobseeker funding will need to have attended an information launch before course commencement. They will be asked to attend for a short interview to assess suitability for the programme. |

This ten day course will be followed by a six day work placement for all participants. |

This programme is funded by the Job Seekers Support Programme. The JSSP provides skills which are in demand by industry, combined with direct access to employers and the workplace. The initiative is aimed at the unemployed, blends training with work placements / access to employment and is grant funded at 100%. |
