Breakout Sessions

During the course of the morning two break-out sessions took place and ran simultaneously from 11.30am -12.30pm. When completing the online registration form, delegates were asked to choose which session they would like to attend.

Innovation & best practice in learning networks

Skillnet networks have developed a significant pool of experience in the development of inter-firm networks. This breakout session explored the processes used by networks to engage enterprises and develop shared action amongst members. This session highlighted some innovative approaches that companies have used to develop effective learning responses and recognise new skills.

Maximising individual and business impact through learning networks

Skillnet networks are engaged in training for many types of employees across diverse regions and sectors. This workshop explored the impact networks have on business performance & competitiveness whilst also examining the impact networks have on employability and individual career paths. During the session there was also a case study of a pilot methodology for measuring Return on Investment (ROI) on specific training initiatives.
