The BME Skillnet operates in the counties of Cavan, Monaghan, Louth, Meath, Longford, Westmeath and Leitrim.

The preliminary focus of the BME has been to establish recognition for the value of training to local businesses, and its ongoing aim is to continue to deliver high quality training for both employees and owner/managers in order that they can grow their businesses and be individually and collectively more resilient to their competitive threats.
This focus has resulted in local companies experiencing and recognising the value of training as a business improvement tool; as a method to identify, develop and access specific training for employees and has ultimately led to the development of new certified training programmes awarded by FETAC.
