The MidMed Skillnet comprises companies from the pharmaceutical, medical diagnostic, medical device, chemical, biotechnology and supporting industries.

The objective is to ensure that our workforce is appropriately skilled and equipped so that we remain competitive while facing ever increasing regulatory demands and pressures from lower cost economies.

The Network will initially focus on providing specialised technical training to develop the basic scientific skills of operatives and to develop the laboratory skills of staff from entry-level to Ph.D. level. The proposed technical training is not readily accessible in this region and we propose to develop and deliver the courses requested by healthcare companies in the Midlands.
